Here's something cool.....

Several months ago, Shaohannah's Hope asked us to write a story about our adoption experience with Durant. Prior to bringing Durant home, Shaohannah's Hope had given us a grant which helped pay for my travel expenses to bring Durant home!

They just published the post. Here it is if you want to check it out:

An update on the week!

Even though we are all missing Matt a TON, the kids and I had a fun week. We kept very busy with swimming lessons for Carter, speech for Ana, playing outside, swimming, hanging out with friends, overnights for Carter, a trip to New Richmond for Fun Fest, and drinking lots of Big Buddy's!

Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures to add because the camera is in Ethiopia with Matt. So I thought I would add some pictures from the past that I don't think ever made it to the blog....... enjoy.....

4th of July

We had a lot of fun celebrating the 4th of July together! We did our annual trip to Carson Park. Each of the kids enjoyed playing some games, eating cotton candy, and watching the magic show!

After nap time, we had a picnic and played at another park in town. Then off to Dairy Queen for some ice cream treats!!

This year we decided to take all three kids to watch the fireworks. This is the first time we've done this. All three of them enjoyed watching the fireworks, well except Ana. She preferred snuggling her head against us during the fireworks!!

Summer Fun!

Since I was in Ethiopia for a couple of weeks, it felt like I've pretty much missed a whole month of summer. So since being back, the kids and I have been making up for lost summer fun time. Here are some pictures of what we've been doing for fun!!
